Indications:

• Chemical eye burns
• Thermal burns
• Irritants – gasoline, detergent
• Nonembedded FB
• Routine cleansing before eye surgery

 Contraindications:

• Protruding FB
• Penetrating eye injuries
• Suspected or actual globe rupture
• Do not use an anaesthetic agent if there is a known allergy
