The hand x-ray shows multiple enchondromas; this is known as Ollier’s disease. There is a pathological fracture through an enchondroma in the metacarpal of the ring finger.

Enchondromas can be found anywhere in the skeleton, but they are more common in the hands and feet. They can cause limb pain, deformity, and limb length discrepancy. Minor trauma can lead to pathological fracture through an enchondroma. The risk of developing a chondrosarcoma is up to 25% in adulthood.
