The ankle x-rays show a Tillaux fracture.

There is a Salter Harris III fracture through the lateral distal tibial epiphysis. Interestingly the fracture fragment is hiding in the distal tibiofibular clear space and can be easily missed.

The patient underwent operative fixation.
