The frontal chest x-ray shows a lytic lesion in the lateral end of the clavicle; the lung fields are clear.
A systematic approach to chest x-ray interpretation that is often used is ABCDEFGH:
- Airway: trachea and bronchi
- Bones: rib cage, clavicles, and the upper end of the humerus
- Cardiac shadow
- Diaphragm
- Effusion
- Fields (lung)
- Gastric air bubble
- Hilar area
