Imaging Case of the Week 257 Answer

The right forearm x-ray shows a buckle fracture of the distal radius and ulna. There also appears to be a fracture involving the distal end of the humerus.

Further investigation involving a dedicated right elbow x-ray revealed this to be a fracture of the lateral condyle of the distal humerus; this injury was managed operatively.

When an injury is already spotted on an x-ray, keep looking for further injuries.
