Imaging Case of the Week 286 Answer

The frontal forearm x-ray shows a widened scapholunate interval. Normal distance between scaphoid and lunate on AP view is under 2 mm. The scaphoid has a signet ring appearance. There is also a fracture involving the radial and ulnar styloid.

The lateral forearm x-ray shows a lunate dislocation.The lunate lies anterior to the line joining the distal radial articular surface and the capitate.

The patient underwent operative reduction of lunate dislocation and ligament repair.
