Chilaiditi’s Syndrome.

The chest x-ray reveals bowel loop interposed between liver and right hemi diaphragm. The syndrome is named after Radiologist Demetrius Chilaiditi who first reported a case series.

Tips to diagnose-

  • Awareness about the syndrome.
  • Clinical condition of the patient (stable, benign abdominal examination).
  • Prior chest x-rays will reveal similar appearance.
