The portable chest x-ray shows evidence of pneumoperitoneum.

The patient had a perforated sigmoid diverticulitis which resulted in profound pneumoperitoneum.

There is patchy consolidation in the right lower zone which could be mistaken for source of sepsis in the patient.

Pay attention to subdiaphragmatic area while interpreting a chest x-ray!
