ECG of the Week – 15th January 2020 – Interpretation

The following ECG is from an 18 year old man who has presented with palpitations and left sided chest pain.

Interpretation:

  • Rate: 90
  • Rhythm: NSR
  • Axis: 0-90 Normal
  • Morphology: subtle infrlat STE as below
  • Intervals: PR 180 QRS 80 QTC 440
  • Summary: 1mm STE inferior leads and to a lesser extent in lateral leads V3-V6
  • Don’t forget illicit drug history in young patients!
