Imaging Case of the Week 285 Answer

The chest x-ray shows two radiological signs of pulmonary embolism.

  1. The Fleischner’s Sign: enlarged central pulmonary arteries.
  2. Westermark Sign: Pulmonary oligaemia causing lucency of the lung fields.

The patient underwent a CT Pulmonary Angiogram which showed a saddle PE.
