Emphysematous cystitis is a condition that predominantly affects diabetics and patients with immunosuppression. The main symptoms include lower abdominal pain, haematuria, dysuria, and it can be also be associated with pneumaturia.

E.Coli and K. Pneumoniae are the most common pathogens involved. Diagnosis is by abdominal imaging; however, a CT scan is more sensitive.
