A 68 year old female with abdominal distension and weakness hasCompensated hypokalaemic, hypochloraemic metabolic alkalosis
severe hypokalaemia
moderate hyponatraemia
lactataemia
normocytic/ macrocytic anaemia
Evidence of obstructive liver disease
very low Urea and Creatinine – cachectic with poor muscle mass
Above may be explained by ongoing weight loss and nutritional deficiency with possible abdominal mass/ ascites
Does this person have Lymphoma/Leukaemia, metastatic disease, myelodysplasia, B12/Folate deficiency, other cause??
