Lab case 321

62 year old lady with history of type 2 DM, presented with vomiting and dizziness. Her VBG showed the following:

PH = 7.363

PCO2 = 30.3 mmHg

PO2 = 18.4 mmHg

HCO3 = 16.8 mmol/L

Na = 124 mmol/L

K = 3.5 mmol/L

Cl = 91 mmol/L

Glucose = 26 mmol/L

Hb = 55 g/L

Lactate = 8.6 mmol/L

Creatinine = 60 umol/L
