20 year old epileptic woman presented to the emergency department after polypharmacy overdose. Her VBG showed the following:

PH = 7.28

pCO2 = 37 mmHg

pO2 = 70 mmHg

HCO3 = 17 mmol/L

Na = 143 mmol/L

K = 3.2 mmol/L

Cl = 116 mmol/L

Glucose = 5.3 mmol/L

Lactate = 1.2 mmol/L

creatinine = 75 umol/L
