39-year-old lady with history of gestational diabetes x2. This patient stopped eating due to mood disturbances. Her venous blood gases showed the following:

PH = 7.17

pCO2 = 26 mmHg

HCO3 = 9.4 mmol/L

Na = 139 mmol/L

K = 3.3 mmol/L

Cl = 105 mmol/L

Hb = 157 g/L

Glucose = 6.9 mmol/L

Lactate = 1.9 mmol/L

Creatinine = 66 umol/L

Ketone = 8 mmol/L
