50-year-old man with THC hyperemesis. His blood gases showed the following:

PH = 7.58

pCO2 = 20 mmHg

pO2 = 28 mmHg

HCO3 = 18 mmol/L

Na = 141 mmol/L

K = 3.7 mmol/L

Cl = 108 mmol/L

Hb = 160 g/L

Glucose = 7.9 mmol/L

Lactate = 2.7 mmol/L

Creatinine = 94 umol/L

Phosphate < 0.32 (Normal value 0.75-1.5)
