The frontal chest x-ray shows

A left sided pneumothorax. Difficult to spot unless one pays close attention. A subtle clue to the presence of left pneumothorax is the presence of horizontal pleural effusion on the same side.

Tilting the chest x-ray upside down and or inverting the image are other helpful tips which will aid in the diagnosis.
