ECG of the Week – 5th February 2020

It’s 0300 hours into a night shift where you about about to assess a 72 years of age female patient and this is her ECG .She is complaining of a mild 90 minute duration of a waxing and waning moderate chest discomfort. She was alert and hypertensive at 174/98 mmHg with a BSL of 5.9. What abnormalities can be seen and how would you treat and the disposition for the above patient.

ECG of the Week – 8th January 2020

You have been shown an ECG of a 29 years of age Type 1 Diabetic man whom is presenting with a 3 day history of vomiting . You were told that he is moderately to severely unwell with a respiratory rate of 36 saturating at 95% . He was normotensive with an initial GCS of 13/15 . Describe the abnormalities and discuss your management plan .
